Advocacy 101
Join us for an “Advocacy 101” session focused on how families can get involved in advocacy. Troy Hunter, DSACO’s President & CEO, will be joining us to share a simple overview of state government and practical ways to engage, from sharing your story to connecting with legislators. The session will highlight how family voice helps shape systems and drive meaningful change.
Troy Hunter is President and CEO of ElevateDD, a statewide organization advancing advocacy, inclusion, and opportunity for people with developmental disabilities and their families. He has over a decade of experience in disability services, early childhood, and public policy, including serving as Managing Director of Policy and in leadership roles at The Ohio State University Nisonger Center. Troy also teaches at Ohio State and serves on several policy committees.
Dinner and child care will be provided.
