Staying healthy and active while at home can be challenging.

Check out some virtual resources below for keeping fit and moving during this time! More will be added as they become available.

Online personal training classes offered to non-members who are looking for a way to keep moving and stay active! There are class options available ranging form $15-$75. DSACO Recreation Scholarship may be available.

Friendship Fitness

Friendship Fitness is offering home workouts on their main Facebook page publicly for the community. These classes are free and can be done by the whole family. Follow their Facebook page for access to these great workouts!

Phlex Fitness Hip-Hop Classes

Join Phlex Fitness for free Youtube hip-hop classes with Mike Nicholson! These classes are a great way for the whole family to stay active. Classes are currently being offered for free, but donations will be accepted if you would like to continue to support Phlex Fitness.

Buddy Up Fitness

Ongoing weekly, engaging and interactive Zumba®, Kickboxing and Fitness class specially designed for individuals with Down syndrome ages 10+ to increase heart rate and confidence with a maximum of fun. Buddy Up Tennis is a weekly, high-energy adaptive tennis and fitness program for children and adults with Down syndrome beginning as early as 5 years old. Buddy Up Fitness is a full body circuit workout program designed for our Athletes ages 12 and over.

  • Buddy Up Fitness – $80 for each eight-week session
  • Buddy Up Zumba Virtual – Program cost is $40 for each eight-week session
  • Buddy Up Tennis – $100-$140 for each five or seven-week session

DSACO Recreation Scholarships may be available.

The Art of Music

The Art of Music is “an innovative way of bringing kids together with Music and Art to develop the whole child.” Through movement and object play (Music and Art), we offer 6-week sessions of 1-hour enriching experiences for children (ages 1-21).  The cost is $175. 3-week sessions are $105.

DSACO Recreation Scholarship may be available.

Music Together

Music Together® is an early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age eight—and the grownups who love them! First offered in 1987, our music classes help little ones develop their innate musicality—and much, much more.

DSACO Recreation and/or Ann Barbour Memorial Performing Art Scholarships may be available.
