"Keeping Up Community Information Series"
When our membership survey was completed in 2009, it showed that members were looking for ongoing, relevant information on topics relating to the life of a person with Down syndrome. In response, we created the “Keeping Up Community Information Series," featuring local, national, and international speakers who are qualified to address current research, education, speech, and safety and advocacy issues.
Current/Future Conferences:
Adult Conference
Held August 20-21, 2010 at Cherry Valley Lodge. This 2-day seminar will allow for persons with Down syndrome age 17 and older, to choose their own tract of classes. Choose from topics that include: The Art of chit-chat, Living on Your Own, Tell Your Story, Martial Arts and Eating Healthy.
New this Year! A Parent Tract.
Parents join us for topics that include: Waivers and benefits, The new Adult DS Clinic and
Post secondary options and resources.
