Each year, DSACO joins other Down syndrome associations across the country by holding a one-mile Buddy Walk to support and celebrate the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.
It would be hard to find a more perfect day than Sunday, September 13 when more than 5,000 people came together under sunny skies at Columbus Crew Stadium to take part in Buddy Walk 2009. Through the generosity of our sponsors, walkers, contributors, vendors and volunteers, more than $175,000 was raised for the programs and services of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio and the National Down Syndrome Society. We depend on buddies like you to help us serve more than 1,200 families in a 15-county area within Ohio affected by Down syndrome. Thank you for making Buddy Walk 2009 a tremendous success. We'll see you next year!
